Titanic: A Dead Reckoning

The Titanic does not drown alone. Another ship comes into view, dead ahead, meeting her… after her own meeting with icy nemesis. The savior seems Heaven-sent, as if summoned by the magic of Marconi. Titanic’s passengers will live! Yet that ship cruelly stops and watches instead, ignoring a fusillade of rockets and a Morse lamp whose use shows they are at close quarters. Why does she not come? Lifeboats are ordered to pull in her direction, but as Titanic sinks the other ship turns and callously departs. Who is she?
