Crucified at 2 P.M.

Storyline

Follow award-winning film director, documentarist, adventurer, Lasse Spang Olsen, as he goes on an adventure in the Philippines to perform an experiment on his own body - ending with his own crucifixion, with 7 inch nails through his hands and feet . Lasse Spang Olsen, who has spent his whole life putting his life at stake (as he has been an active stuntman for over 35 years) - was suddenly hit by an accident that the doctors didn't think he could survive. On the surgery table, he was told that he would probably not wake up again - and therefore had better say "goodbye" now. The incident took place shortly after Lasse had returned home from a film expedition to the Philippines, which had been about the men who are beeing crucified every year, with nails through their hands and feet - in order to achieve contact with God, talk to him and thereby enter into agreements for something they need. Three months after Lasse was back to Denmark - a text message arrived on his mobile. The message came from a religious guide in the Philippines and it said: "Drink water - there is something seriously wrong with your stomach". Lasse did not drink water - and three hours later - he was lying on the surgery table at the hospital, which could have been avoided if he had drunk water. Now life-threatening complications had arisen, which the doctors did not think they could handle - and Lase was told to "say goodbye". But as he was lying all alone in the surgery room - it was hard to say goodbye to someone.. and here Lasse decided; that if he survived - he would seek out the Philippines and learn to believe in God, so that he would have someone to talk to the next time he died. The exam would be to be crucified on Good Friday in Easter - and here, achieve contact with God. The problem was just - that Lasse in no way believed in God.
