The negotiators international

Storyline

Hostage negotiation is one of the world’s most high-pressure professions, requiring incredible skills and bravery in the face of often-lethal danger. With exclusive access, we follow top-level international negotiators in critical situations, going behind the scenes of some of the world's most dangerous hostage situations, from terrorist group Boko Haram to an American cop gone rogue to a ruthless Mexican drug cartel and a Manila mall hostage crisis.

We take a deep dive into four life and death situations and meet the negotiators who have mastered the art. What does it take to navigate a situation where one wrong move can prove deadly? What secrets can they reveal about the art of negotiation?

The series features exclusive access to top negotiators including former FBI Chief Negotiator, Gary Noesner, whose negotiation instruction manuals are currently used by government agencies all around the world. We also meet the extraordinary Ummu Kalthum, one of the world’s youngest female negotiators, who at 27 is already one of the most successful at negotiating with terrorist group Boko Haram.

Dramatic reconstructions combine with testimony from the negotiators, the survivors, and law enforcement to make this a gripping and unique series that’s not to be missed.
