BROKEN LAND is a film about fear and confinement. Our characters live on the border next to the wall in an atmosphere of paranoia. The security is at its maximum. The fence cuts off all contact with Mexicans living on the other side. In the film we never meet migrants crossing but we only perceive their traces. We chose never to cross the border and stay on the US side to address immigration issues that concern all western countries today.
